so today i have spent like 90% of the day working and riding my dang bike =]
okay mostly riding... lol maybe an hour or two on work.
i made my own "fender eliminator" by die-grinding the factory fender, and rounding off the corners with my dremel kit lol....
and im looking into the LED license plate Illuminators.... and LED Turn Signals.... So this mod's prolly just temporary.

I took the decal off my windscreen today.... but my boyfriend was tryin to help me out and put goo gone on it to rub off the glue and it fogged it up @ the freakin bottom...
oh well, i'll just get a new one...
well, it really wont matter if i do the other mods im thinking about to it.

anyways, im raccoon faced, sunburned and covered in melted plastic ahahhahaa

i'll post some pix in a bit.

Nice start! Keep 'em coming!

I've just ordered a pair of KZ1100 (1262cc) Wiseco pistons which will be my first performance mod and my winter project.  Thanks to DGyver on this forum for all the info on the 541cc overbore setup. Is anyone running this on the street? I know that's been asked before but I've never seen anyone answer that they're streeting it.     Already have always-on running lights in the turn signals, and handlebar warmers in my '91 500E.  Hmmm, lemme see...   where can I spend my $$$ next.  I know I need a free-flow filter and exhaust to match the displacement bump.

Hey, anyone have any good advice about porting the heads?  I'll prob'ly post that as a separate thread.
GS500EM currently undergoing major open-heart surgery.

added a pimpin garage door opener switch to the bars on my bike.
well, my boyfriend did.
he hooked up the garage remote from my car off the battery power then soldered wires to the button and ran the wires to an EXTRA kill switch mounted on the handle bars.
now all i hafta do is flick the killswitch to open the door.
that way i dont have to fidget with my keys or purse. =]
meanwhile the remote is water tight under the seat....

pretty pimpin...

pix later on sometime.... =]
hafta cook dinnerr <333

Kill switch ... well you'd be in the driveway with a dead motor ... high beam or neutral will have made a good one. Unless you disconnect the kill switch from the woring completely ... there by ... killing the kill switch ...
BTW I did that on my maxim and wired it to the cooling fan. It will have to be in off, put it in run and cooling fan runs.
Cool.

I'd love to see the pics and specifics on the garage door opener project. That might be one I can do myself.
Enjoy!

Huh, just tried this myself...

At least on the 2006 version (same as the OP) all the graphics are on the fairings are stickers, so they just literally peel off like any standard decal.  You just use your nail to get an end and pull.  Came off within seconds.  Used a little rubbing alcohol to get the glue outline off and a quick wash.  Looks nice!

Now I'm wondering about the front fairing graphics/stickers...hmmm :icon_mrgreen:

mine were just stickers... like decals... maybe yours are different?
i just pulled mine off and i used some 3M adhesive remover... DO NOT USE GOO GONE on ANY PARTS on the bike as it will WARP the colors. 3M or some alcohol would most likely be best.
My boyfriend used some goo gone on my windscreen to get the decal gunk off and it like warped the dang thing lol. make it look all foggy.
but thats okay lol he was just tryin to help so... i just got a new one.
but yeah learn from my boyfriends innocent mistake and DONT USE GOO GONE!

its the devil! lol.

btw, you can buy a $4 bottle of plastic polish, or headlight oxidation remover and it'll clear your windscreen right up. no need to buy a new one.
