SV shock ... yea total POS. Just search for it ...
Katana or GSXR shock ... and modified linkage and stock dogbones. We did mm7568's bike just a few weeks ago, ask him.
Cool.

yeah buddha and i put in a gsxr750 rear shock which added a good 2" to the bike ( and a much more comfortable ride ) you would need to get different linkage which i think buddha has, but i could be speaking out of turn, or like how mine is set up you could grind away some of the lower portion of the shock where it bolts up with the stock linkage to make it work as well
04 lower fairing-less, V&H full, gsxr750 rear shock, kat FE (buddha special), 15 tooth F sproket, ZG SPT windshield, heated grips, K and N Lunchbox, G-Pack      to be added - bandit rear wheel, full luggage set, paint, spencer seat

I have shaved linkages and can be included. But I'd need a linkage back ... as in if you cant grind yours I'll trade you ...

You're talking about just lifting it up. We were talking about lifting it while giving you a better and more adjustable suspension.
I have no idea about these things ... I hate to do anything that uses the rear shock as anything other than a paperweight ... Like this ...
Man, I put a stack of papers under the thing and put the papers on my virago's seat ... and an hour of high winds later, the papers were still there ... waaaaahoooo ...

hey buddha yeah i want the back lifting up so more weight is distributed on the front end for better cornering and weight distribution but i want more than 35mm.

A freind of mine lifted his bandit 12 by 50mm and it feels alot more comfortable to ride and the bike almost feels alot lighter to steer

Well raising the rear by 2 inches ... yea mm75658's bike is like that ... GSXR shock ... but his also is a real good shock ... not the GS POS ... so his bike did handle like a toy ... goes where you think it should. How about you fit some of the B12 shocks on it and try it out.
Cool.
