If you are a woman in the Middle East in MOST COUNTRIES, you can be whipped like a tied up goat and there ain't no recourse.
This includes all the countries that are "our friends". Also if are a woman and marry a Middle Easterner...........and go TO their country,
you may not make it back. There have been countless reports on this kind of treatment but you don't see many of them "on the news".
In the Middle East............mostly........not always.......but mostly......below par with a dog.

Oil is the final frontier. We get somehting else in place of it, and watch oil drop to 10c a tanker load, then we sit and watch as china with its billions invested in africa to exploit their oil, and we watch as china back pedals so fast ...
The key and I think somneone in the west is going to invent it ... a sustainable non polluting energy source. Maybe a solar that has higher capture rate than the .00000000001% we have so far ...

Aahh the Saudis- our "partners in peace" I heard on the radio a few weeks ago they have banned dogs as pets because if a guy goes out to walk it it is a chick magnet and that is against their fine religon. So as bad as religous fundies are here they have nothing on the fanatics in the middle east. Religous police forces...it's too bad we need oil, if we didn't nobody would give a crap about all of those horrible sandboxes.

i don't think that comment is fair...we are a mix of many races, religions and countries here on this board.  as for the middle east i have seen things that would turn your shaZam! white that the people there seem to think is normal.  the same may be said for many north african counties i have "visited"  to be honest i don't give a rats ass what i going on with them..they call all kill each other.  just leaves more resources for the rest of us.
