We can overthrow the current rulers, and let the entore military go home ... then the military and the residents will reunite and quietly start an insurgency ... then we opt for a troop surge ... and claim it works ... of course the locals have just gotten quite because of the monsoon ... after we get up to our eyeballs in mud ... they will set their hungry rats on us ... then mosquitoes, then opium, then they will land mine us.
Alternate scenario is we win, and we take all their mud ... yea ... no mud for you
