Okay, this probably won't get a single reply, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway.  Next week I'll be in Jekyll Island, GA with my elderly father.  I'll be driving him down in his portly Le Sabre.  Anyway, I have friends going down at the same time who WERE going to take my GS down on their trailer, but that fell through as they ran out of room with all of their bikes, kayaks, etc.  As it is, some measure of independence would, needless to say, be nice.  Anyone have an extra motorcycle they'd be willing to rent for a week?   :dunno_white:  It doesn't have to be pretty--just safe and reliable!

This could be the easiest supplemental income you've ever made!!!

Take the wheels off  and slide that thing in the back seat....HEH!

Car have a tow hitch?

Yeah that was me.    One of my rides

I wish...  I think the guy with the first trailer does have a smaller second one that I'm sure he'd let us borrow.  BUT, I'm sure pops wouldn't be too keen about his Buick doing tow duty at all, much less to support my motorcycle habit.   I just turned 32 but I'll never have his approval on that!   :nono:

Sorry to hear you couldn't take the GS. Thanks for leaving it in my garage with the key. I will be sure to use as much of your new tread and brakes as possible.

Hopefully it's sunny for you  down there.  It rained like hell all day up here on Hilton Head.

Sunday night was pretty miserable.  Monday was pretty dismal until late afternoon/evening, but as of today, it couldn't be too much better. Got fully stocked at the liquor store with some Cptn. Morgan, Coke and ice, Dogfish Head stuff, and a Terrapin Rye Pale Ale--pretty good brew!  Got the fridge full  and the sun is shining!   Good luck in Hilton Head!

You mean YOU'LL have some catching up to do.  I'm far ahead of schedule.  I did some fishing too.

BTW, there are a few beers in my fridge that if you've been checking on my place you might have found...

Ever tried Sweetwater 420?  I believe it's an Ultra Pale Ale, brewed in Atlanta and should be available throughout the state.  There's a half gone 6 pack of it in my fridge right now.

theUBS

I tried it a couple years back when I was here.  It's not too bad.  I haven't sampled it again so far this time.  Fridge was too full of DFH stuff and the Terrapin Rye Pale Ale.  Might very well get around to it eventually though!

Thanks for the heads up on the beer.  You now have a few less.  Awesome catch, I am so jealous.

That thing wore me out!  Most exercise I've had in a while. Caused quite a stir too--everyone having to reel up and get out of the way as he made his way around the boat!  Everybody stopped to watch anyway since it was the biggest caught that day.  He took my line for quite a ride!!  Got him up to the boat once, and then he caught a glimpse of it and took off for another 30 yards or so.  Amazing power in that fish!

Another guy had a shark on that was probably larger, but didn't have a clue how to get him to the boat.  As soon as he gave that thing a few inches of slack his line came back without a hook.
