Can you get to the carb sync adjust screws without pulling the whole damn airbox off?  I just can't see the damn things...arg...arg...

Hell no ... you cannot do that on a Vtwin ... you wanna try it on a V4 ... dream on ...
However that carb pack will come off with that tray its bolted to ... much better idea ... just need the 2'X2' area to get it loose and out ... that's all.

wouldn't have mattered if I pulled it all off because the carb sync adjust screws all point down...little fuckers...

I felt bad for charging four hours labor to do a carb sync but shaZam! I used every minute of it and still didn't get it perfect.  She purs like a little kitten now at idle and revs smooth but I couldn't get it even at idle and 2000rpm.  Likely valves need to be adjusted so I didn't try to hard any way.

The valves prolly are loose ... the cams prolly wearing. It has oil bypass done ?
That is one motor I am not touching ... far too complicated.

I'm pretty sure the cams and valves are both an issue...not a big one but one all the same.  Not sure about the oil bypass.  The bike has a ton of other little issues...brake stuff, wiring stuff, rust in the tank, it's been wrecked half a dozen times, et cetera.

I got one other guy with a V65 that also needs carb work...not looking forward to it at all...but I can charge the shaZam! out of them and still not come close to what the dealers would charge.  These VF guys seem real happy to fork their cash over to me...
