I'm bidding on a set of Yoshimura Stainless steel RS3 cans from a Hayabusa and was wondering if anyone would want the other one.  They come with mounting clamps.  Obviously, one of us would have to mount it so the Yoshi tag wouldn't show unless we could switch it to the other side somehow.  The listing says they're slip-ons, but I haven't been able to confirm that yet.  The can that would mount the best has a dent in the side facing out.

Would anyone be interested in one of them if I won the auction?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter, but you can mount a left side can on a gs right?  It shouldn't matter because you still have to bolt it onto a flange anyways right?

OK the flanges have angles built into them and sometimes the end caps do as well.
Looking at the bottom pic ... whihc is the left can it looks an awful lot like it has been cut at an angle. If so, you will get it pointing wrong ot hitting stuff if you fit it on the wrong side ... or even the right side if you dont get the flange right. I prefer to get my can perfectly flat and the angles and bends in the flange.
So you get a flange made for that left can on the Right ... then you be OK, you make 2 of the same flange and the can has an angle and its adios.
Cool.

If you wanted to face damage towards the bike, the tip would face up... which might look abit odd.

I would mount the damaged one just like it normally does, if I took that one.

The one that would need the tag mounted towards the inside would be the one in good condition since it normally mounts on the left.  I think it could still work with the flange work Buddha mentioned above.

Is anyone interested in either one of them for around $50 + shipping?

Couldn't you drill the rivets and re-index the top/bottom/label to fit your needs? Maybe even cut out the bad part and shorten the can.

I guess I could, but I have no experience with that.  Sounds like something Buddha or someone else with some skills might be able to handle for some dough - I can't speak for them though.

Anyone considering it - less than an hour left and I probably won't do it unless someone at least says that might think about it.
