Well, guys, I turn to you for a very very important question.  What tips do you have for studying?  Im horrible at it, always have been. Im in EMT-B school, and well, I study, and seem to forget what ive studied.  I can go back and read again, effectivley doubling my alotted studying time and then Ill remember pretty well.  But I need some "first pass" tips to make things a little more productive. Thanks in advance. Now back to the books.

Yeah.  Im a third shifter tho....nearly impossible to find anyone awake [enough] to help..lol.  there is one girl though......

do your homework, attend every class and take notes.  do your readings.  then studying before an exam will not be so critical.  when i was in university i walked into exams knowing that i had already passed the term without passing the exam. how? cuz i  did my assignments and readings and went to all class' .  it is not that hard at all.  it just takes some discipline.

Its not so much studying before an exam.  I think i should say that its more on the retaining and productivity side of the actual studying itself.  Im a firm believer in not needing to study before an exam if you study the whole time and pay attention.  But im a little rusty.  I havent had to do it in 5 years and I hardly ever did it to begin with. I more or less payed attention in class and did the required reading. 
So with that being said, any more advice?

Check into Binaural tones.  If it works for you, it will work great.  If not, you wasted a few minutes.........oh well.

Kick the caffeine before studying.  It makes you alert, but it all but shuts down the sections that process and retain data.

I cant learn them if I cant study it and retain the knowledge therefore I wont be buying it.  lol.  Sooo in that case, just clue me in.  Then Ill buy your book.......

Yea im currently doing the same thing, studying for my PPL(H) and CPL(H) ground exams. Its all self study, no classes, just a large text book with a section on each exam, you learn it and then test yourself then do the real paper. Its so hard though because its like a full time course (around work) and getting back from work knackerd and getting the books out is not easy!
