So last week around the 22nd i went to the House of motorcycles and went to the parts department and placed a order for a  3 way nipple attached to the carbs its part #45 on bikebandit.

So i went and placed an order after being somewhat Skeptical, the Girl at front desk convinced me to place the order. " We're usually really good about informing you when we have the part" If it wasn't for her good looks i might have thought twice about it    So i called them on the weekend to check the status " We dont have an ETA on that part yet call back on monday and ask for josh"

So i called them back today the 27th and i talked to the guy still no ETA and he says thier back ordered until the 1st of nov. I'm warning everyone never place any kinda order with them!!!!

Is there a replacement nipple that a automotive store might sell? or something similar the nipple is wide at the top and has thin portions on both sides which is a bit  unusual :dunno_white:

Is there any kinda of vac reduction that i can do on a GS500F that would eliminate some of the hoses for simplicity?

Thanks Will....

The OEM suzuki one as described in the diagram are unusual in the fact that they are 2 different size nipples the one on the top is of wider diameter, while the ones on the bottom are of smaller diameter so that presents a huge disadvantage. Its hard to find them. I'll try napa tomorrow  :cookoo:

those rubber doo-hickeys are annoying. you can use a plastic doo-hickey with an o-ring also if you find a store (napa prolly) that knows how to fit an o-ring to a 3 way connector.

real parts houses and MAKE IT WORK shops are a dying breed. if you find one, keep their business card !

:)

The only place that i ever buy parts from is bikebandit and they are amazing. Somtimes i'll look at the UPS tracking info and it says its supposed to come on a specific date and then the next day it shows up. I'm Luckly in the fact that im about 30 mins away from them  8). Everywhere else doesn't care all the shops just want to sell you a bike. And if something goes wrong and your the type of person who likes to fix things for some  reason they just dont even bother at all.... :cookoo:

First thing I'd do is get rid of the vacuum fuel tap as per other posts here. Less to go wrong and fewer vac hoses.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with House Of Motorcycles, both on the phone, and in person. I think you have to be mentally challenged to get a job there. Just for laughs, check out Yelp San Diego, nobody has anything good to say about them. I wouldn't give them a dime.

I had a similar experience with NC House of Motorcycles when I was doing my valve job.  Placed an order for shims and was told they would be there by a certain date but they never arrived on time.  When I followed up three business days later, they said they couldn't give me an ETA so I promptly cancelled my order after much hassle.  Ordered a whole set of shims and a nice metric feeler gauge set from bikebandit and couldn't be happier.
