I rode yesterday too.  It was really cold!  I still need to find a good pair of winter gloves.  Any ideas anyone?  A website would be more helpful.

These are really good gloves.  Very warm and not bulky.
Best investment I ever made.  You are toasty warm above 35 degrees and you should not even have to wiggle your fingers to keep warm.
Below 35 degrees start wiggling and you will be good to about 28 degrees but only for about 1 hour.  I don't know if they are waterproof like they mention since I only use them in real cold weather.  I have a pair of cheap Joe Rocket gloves for the summer.  I put on a cotton liner glove first and it works well with the Joe Rocket gloves down to 50 degrees.

I rode yesterday as well.  Very cold, I wasn't dressed for it at all so I only got in about 30 mins of riding time.  It was great!  I'm looking for a wintersuit now.  I REALLY need one if I'm going to be riding in temps like this!
There is a little truth to every joke.

I have these thermal wear trousers.

You can get something similar.  For very cold weather the trick is to keep the wind out.  A neck gaiter is a must.  Got my at Campmor.

Sunglasses to keep the wind out of your eyes.  On top I wear a warm shirt, heavy sweater, good thick leather jacket with a thinsulate lining.  The jacket has a collar with two snaps on top that keeps your neck warm.  On bottom I wear the thermal trousers and jeans.  I have work boots that have a thinsulate lining and go over my ankles.  Double socks.  In very cold weather I put in some thick plastic squares over my knees.  I cut some from a heavy shopping bag.  On top of everything goes my First Gear Rain Jacket and pants.  Good gloves are a must.  You can pull the gaiter way up to cover your mouth.  Something over the head would be nice but I have not found anything that is thin enough to fit under the helmet.  Again, the trick is to keep the wind out.
From the point of safety keep in mind that cold tires do not grip as well on the corners as warm tires.  So watch the cornering, even if everything is dry.
