Harpoon Winter Warmer.  It's different, it's spicy.  I can have 1 or 2, but I can't throw them back the way I do other beers.  Too complex of a taste to drink all night.

Roadtrip to Canada

Nah, just had to have some friends who were old enough to get it for me when I was underage.  My Dad didn't care, he's a war vet and always says "If you're old enough to die for your country, you're old enough to drink beer!"  :)

The Trappists are definitely where it's at. Personal fave is Dead Monk Abbey Ale.

The best most satisfying beer in the whole world is a free beer!!
If I gotta pay for it myself then it's gonna be my own homebrew - usually a stout or heavy ale or a porter, although I'm working my way through a batch that's similar to Newcastle Brown right now.
If I gotta actually pay real money (my own that is...) for a store bought beer, then it depends on how I'm feeling at the instant I'm ordering, but usually it's gonna range from Bass Ale to Guinees Extra Stout to Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter to Theakston's Old Peculiar to ....

Umm, err,  I'm getting thirsty.   Gotta go.  Sorry....

We don't drink much  :nana:

I do like a couple of the local microbrews and sometimes I'm in the mood for one of their porters.  Locals, the new BJ's at the mall has good beer (and food)

I really want to try what Guiness is like in Europe.  I hear that the Guiness here in America is sh*t compared to the Guiness on the other side of the pond.  Can anyone confirm?  My guess is its a matter of freshness and maybe some preservatives

There's too many beers to choose from!  But here's my list of favorites I come across regularly.  I might like some other stuff better, but :dunno:

Cheap beer: Yuengling
Beer when I'm in Japan: Asahi
Stuff I regularly buy: Blackened Voodoo, Magic Hat #9 and Heart of Darkness, Boddington's, Blue Point Toasted Lager (local!), Young's Oatmeal Stout, Sam Adams Winter Lager, Schneider Weisse.  And John Harvard's does make some tasty beer! :thumb:

I really miss the stuff from the Brick and Wellington breweries up in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo :( My little brother can't even be bothered to bring back a case of Waterloo Dark for me when he goes to Canada  :x

Well I'll be... I got my late birthday present... my brother picked up a sampler pack of Sleeman's for me!  He said he tried to get the stuff I wanted but the terror alert thing made going across the border difficult.  He saw this at a supermarket in Buffalo :)
