I'm having to catch up for the last year. Is An still girlfriend-less? Because I still have, like, $14 in my paypal from the "Get Annguyen1981 Laid" Foundation we opened up years ago to solve this problem.

I'm not to hot about the flush mounts or the integrated tail flasher but that nothing a few bucks, some beer and a winter won't fix

nice bike.  :thumb:

you know that bike is all great and all... but you know you can't do a fenderectomy on it?  or swap the front end with a gixxer front end...  seems like a waste to me   :flipoff: :flipoff:

jk... nice ride... i dig the yellow.

Thanks guys.  I have a short list of things to do, like soften up the rear suspension a little, I think the PO was a pig, swap the front turn signals for something a little more visible, and figure out if i want to nix the integrated tail (technically illegal in my state but the bacon leaves motos alone unless you are being retarded or flagged), and aftermarket fuel management system of some type.

I will need tires after next year too, even though they are new I seriously doubt that the pilot powers will last more than one season if the few rides i took to break the tires in are an indicator

How many miles you ride a year?

Pilot powers I get 3k out of a rear, that's about standard for the big bore crowd it seems, and 6k out of a front. The guy's running 600's and 750's are getting 4k to 4.5K on a rear they don't roast the rear as bad as the litre's do. I usually have tread left not completely worn out but 3k of hard riding usually roaches the tire compound and it's starting to slide beyond an acceptable point for me by then.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

in a year i will put ~4k on my bike, even more if I travel around during the spring/summer/fall cause I'll ride if the wife isn't coming.  Basically if i don't destroy them adventuring on mountainous roads they will go square on the highway.  The bts on the GS lasted ~two years a pop, i'll probably go for something duel compound when i buy my first set of rubber for this bike.

Metzler z6 sport or michellin pilot road 2's. If you're a very agressive rider in the twisties you won't get the same stick as the pilot or pilot 2ct out of either of those  but they will last 8k to 9k miles. And to be honest will stick just fine doing anything safe and reasonable within the legal limits and then some with no problem. I've never run a pilot power to it's full capacity on the street, tracks about the only place you'll ever need that much tire but I have been known to exceed the performance envelope of the ST tires on the street so I just suck it up and bear the price of my riding style.

Yeah I hear that.  These were put on by the dealer before I got the bike however if I had chosen tires i wouldn't have picked them for exactly the same reason you state, don't need that much tire for street riding.
