Oh man.. what a combination.  It sounds absolutely awesome.  The negative is that it sounds so good at high revs that now i tend to go to 10k and not even get worried. Need to look at my oil more often now.

At stock it sounds so bad at high rev i tend to keep it around 5-6k.  Now i easily rev it to 10k with no problem.

Real smooth ride...

I got have to say this upgrade is absolutely necessary.  Not actually this type of exhaust but any exhaust upgrade. If you can do it.. its well well worth it.

It makes that GS an absolute awesome bike.. oh man..  i love this bike.

I haven't stop grinning since i got this from the shop.    :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

does the laser get in the way of the oil filter or anything....my supertrapp gets in the way of the oil filter and the centerstand. kind of annoying but it sounds great.

Hey Commuterdude, I love the bike. I even like the color scheme more than my blue gs. This is probably a dumb question but that is an aftermarket paint job right? Do you ever plan on shortening the signals?

It's a rattle can spray job.  I used a "gunmetal" color they had at Autozone.   Stripped the tank with aircraft stripper....no sanding.   The decal and the paint just dried up and fell right off the tank to bare metal.   Darndest thing I ever saw really.
I plan to keep the turn signals.   Long ganky signals are the new retro.   Nothing says "1993" like giant stalk turn signals!  The bike runs fantastic and only has 12,500 miles on it.

the jardine headers and can were 349.00 shipped.  Got the jets from Buddha, they weren't much.  Paint was about 35 bucks.   the Pipe IS WORTH the money!

Where can I get the K & N air filter for an 07 GS500 F...it doesnt require any carb mods right?
And what improvements does this air filter make?

tripleb

you can get the drop-in almost anywhere - the lunchbox as well. Check the wiki for the part numbers.  And no rejet is necessary if you use the restrictor on the drop-in, but it is if you get the lunchbox.  Both are more free-flowing than the OEM filter I believe, especially the lunchbox, and are usually accompanied by an exhaust upgrade.
lK&N unchbox w/ rejet with 140 mains, F-18 flyscreen, truck bed liner black, superbike bars with 3rd eye bar end mirrors, license plate rear turn signals, micro front turn signals

vorBH

lol what is the lunchbox!? sry im a slight newb

tripleb

the lunchbox is part number RU-2970 or 2790.  It seems to be the best air filter for performance from the opinions of most members on here from what I can tell.  it's around $45 and requires a rejet and an exhaust upgrade.

vorBH

Seriously?? Now Im confused...someone said the air filter upgrade does not require rejet

tripleb

there's more than 1 filter upgrade.  most require a rejet. only the k&n drop-in doesn't.

Bluehaze,  where did you get your Laser exhaust?  What was their price?  There is currently no distributor in Canada, and I'm trying to find a reseller in the US that will ship to Canada at a fair shipping price.
