Yep, buy 'em. Mine were listed for up to an '01 or thereabouts but fit perfectly. Wait till you feel the difference! :o

Question: Why would I get progressive springs? Better front suspension? Braking?

Can I install myself? What is needed to be done/taken apart etc?

Look at the wiki or do a search, there are lots of threads about what they are for and how to install them.

you may not need them. I noticed immediatly that I had no travel left under moderate to hard braking and needed to stiffen up the front. best $73 I ever spent!!
