I have noticed a small oil leak along the gasket of the front of the top engine that leads to the front valves. I have also noticed slight bogging and power loss especially during cold weather on my 2001 gstwin suzuki. Any ideas at what I should do? Should I just tighten the top two o-ring openings with an allen wrench? Let me know what you think the problem is. Thanks.

fred

Are you talking about the valve cover gasket? Mine was leaking a while back and I just replaced it and did valve clearances while I was there... Doing that would help fix both problems...

Kaizer

yes that is correct! that's what i thought i should do. bad gasket!

fred

Yeah, they aren't that expensive and they're pretty easy to replace. You might want to also get an extra o-ring gasket or two in case those are leaking too... I'm talking about number 5 on this diagram:

They're cheap and there is a decent probability that one of them will be bad...
