When in first gear and i get up to 10-15mph or so and i let off the gas it wants to slow down fast and after a couple seconds dies/stalls. Even if i just ride in first gear it wnats to die/stall after a while. Also probably unrelated problem it's super hard to get in neutral, it's a half click for neutral right? Any suggestions on either problem welcome.

Where's your idle at? It should be a little over 1000rpms..............You might have some rust/dirt in the carb. Try switching the petcock to 'off' and rev the bike until it runs out, then switch the petcock to 'on' and start her up. This can blow out the rust or dirt in the carb.

As for the shifting into nuetral, check your oil level.

Does prime=off? and revving it while on prime to drain it won't take the whole tank will it?

Ah $%*&, you might have that fuel starvation problem like everybody on here has been through.

ha, well it has something to do with the stock petcocks they put on these bikes. They have a vacuum hose coming from the back of the petcock and going to the carbs. You should really rip that hose off and plug it off on the carb, but for now, you wanna try getting it to idle, then putting the petcock on 'prime'(this shut off the fuel from the tank, so you'll only have the fuel in the bowls.

Yeah I know what you're talking about.......I had to fiddle with the idle screw to make it at least idle and then I would be on the throttle trying to rev it out.

No you won't drain the tank, you are only draining the fuel bowls in the carbs.

Ok so i drain the bowels then start it up on the "on" position to blow out any debris? It'll start back with no fuel in the bowels?

It will start but not right away until fuel gets back into the bowls. So after it's ran out of fuel, try starting it with throttle fully turned, if it doesn't wanna start, give it a couple minutes and come back and try it again.
