The reason they liked him and invested with him ... they thought he was insider trading. Love it, when a few hedge funds crash and burn ... man I really think this is the financial systems coffin. BTW hedge funds made a killing on the trading days folowing 9/11. They happened to be short a lot of stocks that plummeted. That was already a recession in progress, and already lots of airline and tech stocks had been taking a dive. They were there fore shorting them anyway. Heck, so many hedge funds popped up after that. They made so much $$$.
