Sorry guys, looks like age is finally caught up with the buddha. Or its deathly cold in NC ... and when its not freezing cold, its raining ... or all of the above. Few years ago, it was in the 70's and sunny in dec for the most part.
I dunno, This weekend it was like 26 in the day time ... I barely stepped out. Heck I was freezing inside the house. Of course now its in the 50's but raining.

We too have 50's and rain. But weekend was 26-28. Pityful. Night was 45 and rain.
I wasn't talking abot riding, I have heated gear, works OK, I was talking about working on stuff around the gar.

I hope you're right about man's release of carbon dioxide not contributing to climate change.  Still, I'll stick with the opinions of 90%+ of scientists over opinionated folks on message boards. 

If Al Gore is lying, so is just about every well reguarded scientist.

There have been varying periods of warm and cold cycles. We have actually started to cool down sometime starting in 1997-98. 1975-1995 was a serious warming period in retrospect. Yet from 1990 (when stats are first maintained) the CO2 has constantly risen, and we are at ~15+ % above 90 levels.

There is a large section of the scientists who doubt man made co2 is doing anything significant, BTW even the ones that agree are narrowly divided. Say 100 of them agree, but they only agree 55% and 45% they dont ... I'd add them all as 55% for and 45 against.

Remember CO2 is not the question. Its accepted as the cause for global warming. Man made is the question, how much, how significant and what is the overall addition to the total CO2 as well as what causes it to go back down.

Its like this, a tank full of gas and we are adding few drops to it, and your motor can use several gal an hour and a gas station can pump in several gal in mins ... you now have an ink dropper ... how much further can you go. Well it depends on the size of the ink dropper as well as how fast your motor uses it. We may add several million tons but the earth is capable of consuming or producing several billion or trillion tons a year. So your million tons wont go very far. CO2 levels are dropping and have been the last 10 years or so. Yet man made CO2 has been rising year over year.

But, well lets not count the facts when there can be profit made. After the profits are made, maybe we can push crap that reverses the course ... how much longer before we start seeing ... CO2 levels dangerously low, here is the CO2 increasers we need to handle "climate change" from dropping CO2 levels. Remember plants need CO2 to make all the food we eat too. Its a must that we keep the levels up.

You all shutup! High today in here in eastern Iowa is 10 and low tonight should be in the negatives. We've only broken the 40 degree mark once in the last 3 weeks. Luckily we haven't had a lot of snow like last year which brought us a flooded spring. And although it's cold, it's sunny the majority of the time.

Also, why did "global warming" get changed to "climate change" ... yea, to be more obscure so they can count the cooling, more abnormally cold winters as well as more severe storms into this, that isn't warming it cannot be explained by any co2 crap.

They will promptly quote katrina and rita and the billions of devastation it caused ... unhhhhhh ... wrong answer ... 05 was a bloated year for real estate values, population of that area has swelled ridiculously in the 35 years since and the poor levies and worthless design (lack of) without considering flood and storm surges did most of the damage ... hurricane camille in 1969 packed a much much bigger punch, except then there were 1/4th the people, not as much turning swamp land into subdivisions, and the values of the destruction was 1/100th cos it was a normal time, not one where loose lending lead to bloated numbers. There is a lot of smoke and mirrors.

Like someone has very perfectly declared in his signature line on TLPlanet - "its all done with smoke in the mirrors".

Katrina was a cat 3 when it hit the coast, rita was a 2, the location, the poor design, the large population without thought to what could happen if nature one time decided to send a foul ball our way etc caused all the damage, as well as poor planning and some on the ground mis steps.
