Hello. Does anyone know how similar the carbs on the 500Es from 01-03 are to the earlier Mikunis? I have broken down the old type a number of times, but the newer version isn;t covered in my manual. Any info would be great: I need to clean them out tomorrow.

Check Bikebandit for the exploded view.  I took my '01 carbs apart and reassembled successfully with the older manual (water in carbs).  I have never taken apart the pre '01 carburetor.
