Whats up everyone? I am a first time rider and first time buyer of a motorcycle. I chose a 2001 Suzuki GS500E for my first bike due to MANY claims of it being the best FIRST purchase.....I couldn't agree more.

my question is this....

Can i change out the single headlamp for a twin headlamp system as you would see on a Beull?

I am looking to give my bike that Frankenstein type personality which is a little bit of my own crazy personality......really taking the GS500E to a Nightmarish personification.

If anyone has Ideas or places i can look for parts that would fit my bike....please let me know.

So excited to be a part of the motorcycle community and to get to know my fellow GS TWIN riders.

You can go for dual headlights if you like. If you search, you will see many people who've done it. There is some debate as to their utility, but many people have them and like them.

I've heard theyre alot brighter, dual hadlights that is. OR you can go for the round headlight of the naked sportbike. How bout this? you buy the dual headlights, then Ill trade you for the round one off my '89! Just kidding, but seriously you should. Welcome to the forum!

They are not all brighter. The smaller, less effective reflectors make a big difference. I had a dual light setup on my bike and it was the first thing I changed.

you can buy the Buell lights for cheap. Look into it at the harley/buell dealership. I recall $60-$80 for the dual light setup. you'd still need a mount though.

also, search for 'buell headlights' here as its been done a few times.

I bought the twin dominators for streetfighterstore.  They're brighter than the single stock setup - but they draw twice the current (because they have 2 55W bulbs).

The extra current draw is something to factor into your decision, because it may affect your ability to run other power intensive add-ons such as heated grips without flattening the battery.
