SOLD!

GSXR shock with reservoir. Two years old in excellent condition. I do not ride the bike hard enough anymore to utilize it. It was modified by dygver and is a direct bolt on. $90 shipped.

The Buddha

What was modified ?.
Anyway, it should be fleabayable for your $, saying that it was unsuitable for a GS seems to indicate to people they should not get it.
Its great for a GSXR, katana etc etc, none of whom come here.
Cool.

It works fine. I think it was notched/grinded to accomodate the GS linkage (referring to the second pic), not sure. I weigh 135 lbs and its too harsh of a ride for me. Probably excellent for people who weigh a little more and best if they raced the bike.

The Buddha

Seamax - that step in the shock is not ground by dgyver, that is the stock clevise. I believe the shaved linkage may be the modification, not in the shock, You may have to put a pic of the linkage ... this looks like stock GSXR.
Cool.

That sounds correct then Buddha. But my linkage is not for sale and it is definitely stock. So shock as not been modified.

I want to sell it to a member if possible instead of fleabying it. Hit me up with some offers otherwise I'll fleabay it.

The Buddha

You know GStwin ... You have a shock for sale ... everyone will be beating your door down for exhausts. You have exhausts for sale, they'd be breaking down you door looking for shocks.
Before you start making anything, you need to take the $ ... pre order and prepay. I am thinking of going ebay with stuff ... cos I would rather get my fork braces sold before getting on the next item ... possibly case guards, or bars, or thick case covers.
Cool.

I would be up for a pair of anodized red or powdercoated red case covers.

The Buddha

Selling fork braces now. I sell say 20 of the 24 or so I have and I start on next item.
Cool.

Turn the preloat down as much as it can go ... this is the close coil 90-93 750 one ... I dont think you can get any softer GSXR shock than this. Try taking out as much preload as you can.
Cool.

Over a 100 views and no takers. Someone make me an offer I can't refuse. I really don't want to fleabay it because it is too much work.

vorBH

Still for sale?

Budda will this work for my 07 GS500F?

The Buddha

Its sold, and I have the pre 94 one sitting, you wanted a 94+ one. 94-95 only.
But it will fit with shaved linkage.
Cool.

So what year is this one? He said it was an easy installation
Quoteis a direct bolt on
Or wait...seamax...did you shave the linkage??

I thought you said the shock itself needs to be shaved...and not the linkage...so I'd need to shave the linkage? Any pics that show where? Obviously this is done by taking everything off (stock shock and whatever linked to it)..correct?

Which GSXR most easily fits on?.....could I just as easily go with Kat shock and still have stiff suspension like the GSXR?............(and possibly shorter dogbones)

The Buddha

We dont touch the shock. Linkage is the one to shave, its a hunk of metal without any moving parts.
Cool.
