I like the idea of the Comet 650.. is it CARB legal?

sounds like a cheap SV650... or even the comet 250 which looks like a cheap GS500..

hyo and suzuki share the same motor and r & d dept so it is the same and carbed.  brakes are not as good but it actually has more power than the sv and looks better

I wouldnt mind a few hyo parts. but ill wait a while until their qual control is up to par with the jap bikes. . you may frankie say it is. but youre pushin their products, ill wait until a body like consumer reports or whatnot says the same. ( theyre gettign tehre though i have to admit). anyhoo as far as suggestions goes, PLENTY of pictures, a detailed writeup as far as allowed , and stuff like that. and is faulkner considering a website at some point? if so that will help a link in an ad or whatnot will help . again good luck take care

 They seem kinda "low brow" so I doubt that they woud go for a content driven site like PSN (Power sports network) They have a GREAT staff and you can gain sales FAST!

Aside from building and maint. your own, you need a 3rd party. It takes a staff of more than one to create and maintain a multi line motorsports site.. Esp. if you want to offer part fische and all...


What do you use as a POS system? Database? that way you can tap into and sell EVERYTHING you got!

As you know, I did the same for a ;arge shop here... It didnt take long for the eBay to get rockin!!!! be sure they are paying you what you are worth.. I made $12 an hhour + 10% of eBay sales and I sold over 20+G a month 

Push to be incharge of online sales... follow te leads and become a sales person in the shop.. take all these leads and SMOKE the guys in the shop... People love to shop for bikes online.. if you treat em well and keep in contact, its an easy sale. Also being online makes you more attractive to out of state buyers... If they buy from out of state (mainly dirtbikes) they pay no tax!!! cause they dont have to register it!  I sold bikes to Germany, Italy, UK, and MANY more! its sooo easy to grab the online sale and take controll... Just dont let them tell you you cant sell bikes cause you arent a sales men... get liceneced as one if you need to in FL and SELL BIKES!


Keep your eBay well organised, Open an eBay store if they dont have one and throw all the stuff that doesnt auction in a week or 2 in there... Old parts SELL!!! be sure to raid the service area and long lost parts isles for old OEM new stuff... we had it EVERYWHERE! Also grap the sales reps while they are there to sell their wears... Mostly they talk w. the owner/ parts manager.. tell him you are selling on ebay and see what they have on close out... you can make $$$ without even having the product in stock, just order it as it sells and most will drop ship $$$

there is a TON of money to be made at most MS shops on ebay and a bit online... Id focus on the eBay, you can make it really productive!!!

last year i sat on a hyosung. it just felt cheap. it looked like cheap plastic parts.  it was different for sure.  but what do i know, i don't own a bike. 

I actually sat on my neighbors hyo avitar... very comfortable but it does feel a little cheap. The neighbor has owned the bike for over a year without any problems, not the longest time but he seems extremely happy with it.

thanks for the advise guys, with this economy i am not getting an hour wage just commission. but this is ok with me since i have my pension coming in every month. yes we do have a web site, done up by the mechanic, i put a link in my original post.   the page sucks and needs to be spruced up. but the owner does not want to spend money, again the economy, so it will be a gradual progress. "his" goal is 1k of internet sales a day, that should not take that long to do and will give me 100 clams a day and 15% if over 5k.  as for the product i have full faith in the scooters and 250cc since they have been sold in the 100, 000s over decades in china and other asian countries.  the 650 engine does not bother me because it is a sv650 engine,  some of the wiring can be wonky and of course the brakes. but then again a new GT650R hyo or UM is 4400-4200 new and the svs(not fully faired like the gt) is a deal and the hyo fairing looks great.  again it will take time for the name recognition which honda and the other jap companies went through in the 70's.

If I may suggest, you should clean up the engrish on the web site and it will be alot better.  Have you seen the comet 250's up close because they look like GS500 clones with a different engine.  And no doub't about it the comet 650's are SV650 clones.

frankie ill say when the hyo engine and teh suz engine are built by the same people USING the same parts lil be REALLY interested. until then ill wait and see i just dont trust chinese or new korean bikes until theyve been here a fair bit. HERE not china or asia. i know you remember hyundai when they first started out. thir cars were of crap quality now they are doing WELL. the chinese scooters are the same way. crap quality. as well as materials. but if they can stand the test of time. or someone can show me reports statign what yo uses for its 650 engines.  part number s and whatnot. id be looking HQARD at oen. Well, it could be an American writing it. I mean look at how bastardized the English language has become. In high school I loved correcting the Graffitti on the bathroom walls or when someone passed a note by me I'd correct it before passing it on. Boy did I piss a few people off! But, geeze proper syntax people! I doubt kids in school these days even know what syntax is or how it should be implemented. I remember in my honors English class my teacher was standing on the desk trying to get through the idea of independent clauses. She would take one arm shake it up and down and say " Independent clause" shake the other " Independent clause" tap her head "coordinating conjuction." Put her hand around her other side and say "Comma." The principle walked by and said "I like how you are so enthusiastic about teaching the remedial classes." She replied "Oh, this is my honors class." We felt quite dumb at that point and then I thought if we are this bad how bad are the other classes?!?!?!

And yes I wuz edumucated in publik skools!
