OK all the paint on the shocks flaked off as I slid the collars and springs on. POS.
So white, red, blue, and yellow shock people, sorry it be a few more days. I am buying POR15 and I'll spray em - like my painted will spray with a compressor.
That is supposed to be on and last forever, but I wont be doing it for 10 bucks in the future.

What kind of material are you applying the paint to? Have you applied any primer? What kind of paint are you using? Primer helps a lot with flaking problems by providing the paint with a good surface to adhere to. Sound like your painting a smooth metal surface and the paint can't grab it.

Why are you painting shocks?

I was under the impression you needed to use a poly or latex based paint for springs... that is if you don't powder coat them. Regular enamel has no flex to it.

But you should know this... lol. 

POR-15 is urethane based, so it should work on springs. I just bought some of this to use on my buggy and it looks similar to POR-15 but better.
