One of you guys asked about some pics of my bike a week or two ago and I can't remember who it was now. Anyway, here they are: http://octaneonline.com/ipw-web/gallery/PROJECT-GS500

Thanks! It did get a little out of hand. I lost a whole season of riding because I fell behind and it was still in pieces after the summer came and went. It's ready to go now though, so once spring comes, I'm riding every day!

Yup, that's the JamesG tail.  And yes, that's the front brake master cylinder reservoir on the bar - I used the GSX-R master cylinder with the swap because it has the dual disc brakes. The top triple is a vortex piece that was on the forks when I bough them. I drilled the holes for the lights and made a smiple bracket to run the wires and hold the bulbs in.

What headlight is that? Are you happy with it?
What year is the bike?

Thanks guys! The bike is a '93, the headlight is from http://www.bits-a-bikes.co.uk/. They're a British company. The service was excellent, shipped pretty quick, and I think it cost $120 USD including shipping. Somebody from the site here referred me and the guy gave me a little referral discount too. The one I got is the Universal Sports Fairing in Carbon Look. II'm happy with it, but I did need to make some minor mods to make it work. The headlight plug was different, so I cut the plug and spliced spade ends on to work with the Suzuki plug. The other thing was mounting it to the fat gixxer forks, I ended up making a simple bracket, but I think it would probably be a bolt on with the stock GS500 headlight ears.

JohnLA, my gf got me a paint set for Christmas and I have a decent compressor, so I'm gonna try my hand at painting when it warms up a little.  I'm leaning towards a dark grey with black suzuki letters. The fairing is carbon, the front wheel is flat black, and the grey fender looks tough IMO, so I'll probably go with that theme. The rear wheel is powdercoated dark blue and is fresh, so I hate to mess with it, so I also though about doing some kind of blue/grey theme. Not sure how to lay it out though.  :dunno:

Man that looks really MEAN. Paint it gunmetal or silver with a fat black flanked by skinny black stripe down the top of the bike. JMHO.
