Mechanical checks after lowside

Is there anything in particular I should check out on me bike after lowsiding on the right side?  I went too fast around a corner and ended up on my right side in the dirt a few weeks ago.  It got a little banged up, but I rode the bike home.  As I'm fixing/replacing the fairings and bar and such should I check anything with the carbs or engine that might have gotten bumped around?

Part of why I ask is I tried to fire it up today, but I could not get it to stay running without the choke on.  It was like 60F out, and I had it on longer that I have needed it on much cooler days, but it would just die when I took the choke off.

Thanks.

PS If you're trying to unload some of the parts to make a bike nekkid (mirrors, front turnsignals, light brackets) I might know a guy who'd want em.

Since you knocked around the handlebars, you may have changed the freeplay in the throttle cable. Also, make sure the idle screw is still in place. If the freeplay is OK, try increasing the idle speed. You may also want to verify the float heights to make sure nothing got stuck when the bike fell over.

Is the ball on the end of your brake lever still intact? If not, replace the lever (the ball helps prevent the lever from piercing skin in the event of a crash).

I didn't provide many details, so if anything I said doesn't make sense, please ask.

I did the same on the left a few weeks back girll ran me off the exit. Anyways, I noticed the same thing. Couldnt get mine started right away. Got it home parked it and a few days later noticed some oil and gas had leaked out. Probable cause, carbs leaking into the airbox, which means your bowls went dry and you'll have to get them primed back up and check your float levels. Try that. I haven't gotten that far into the bike yet to check, my shoulder's still pretty blown out.
Current project:
Mmotos full body kit (YOU DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... READ MY THREAD BOOT STATE UPDATE)
K&N Lunchbox
Buddah's jets
CBR F2 rearsets
Ducati pass pegs (Modified)
Kat rear wheel
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Can, possibly shortened and relocated
And so on......

Glad you're ok! Some people who experienced a left side fall (especially at off ramp speeds), have later reported damage to the generator magnets. If you're concerned/interested, these links should provide some more info:

So sounds like check throttle freeplay, quick check for goats, and take a look at the carbs?  Me thinks I can handle that.  Thanks guys.

My left side went down in the dirt thank god, for my shoulder not the bike... lol. but all it did was put some scuffs on the housing among trashing almost every fairing on it and gauges and bars and so on, and the insurence is gonna replace the housing so ill be able to check it when i switch it out.
