two years ago 32 people were killed here at Virginia Tech.  while in class just trying to learn. i was here
all that i ask is take a couple mins out of your day and think about all the things in life that you get to do that some don't get to.

I am sitting at work on VT campus now and honestly you couldn't ask for a more beautiful day.  4/16/07 was a hellish day, just live for today because there isn't one person on earth that can guarantee you have tomorrow.

My memory is fuzzy.   Wasn't there an older male teacher who stood in the doorway of his class, face-to-face with the gunman, and said words to the effect of, "You're not coming in here!" before he was shot?   Basically bought enough time to save the lives of his students, and paid with his own life.
On those days when life is a little too much and nothing seems to be going right, I pause for a moment to ponder the wise last words of my grandfather:  "I wonder where the mother bear is?"

Yes, Liviu Librescu, and he was one of the few holocost survivors left.  I can't remember what his exact words were but he did block the door and tell his students to jump out the window.

Yes, Liviu Librescu.  I just read  the above article and now have something in my eye.  Sounds like he was a pretty remarkable yet modest guy.
