my 500 is still up North, but I got a GS450 to play with for now. I need few days to settle down here and I'll start exploring the area and sights.

I used to live in sarasota, (and still work down there on fridays) but,

Suzuki dealer is "grannys motorsports" on university and 301.  There is Haps Honda on 17th between 301 and 75. (not sure on exact streets but just head east on 17th from 301.  And theres action jet sports which is really difficult to find.  www.actionjetsports.com

now for the area,  siesta beach is pretty cool.   Go check out St. Armands circle,  Its off of tamiami trail (us41)  just head out toward lido beach.  Um...  I cant think of much else down there.   but welcome to FL  :thumb:

Oh and theres only one bad thing.  (not many twisties)  :(

Kool, thanks for the info.
We settled in west side of Bradenton, 15 min from the beach. Had a chance to cruze around and check out the sites and really like St.Armands circle. Sarasota looks cool too. wife got a job in Venice and I will most likely work in Sarasota.
I hear ya about the lack of twisties. My cure for that is ROADRACING and here I can race all year round instead of just 6-7 months. CCS has 12 races per year in Fl. Every month exept January. WERA and AHRMA have 1 or 2 races each, so I'll have a full schedule. Looks like I'll be riding on the street again too. My race bike will share street duty with the 450 and my little cafe-racer SR500.
