I'm hoping to start a "See my route" thread. A brief description is cool, but PLEASE keep it short and with a nice google map. Lets see if it works    :

I was out for a cruise this afternoon and saw a group getting ready to depart a gas station. After turning around and dashing back, we cruised for a while. Couple of yamahas, 3 buells, a fine ducati, one bmw, a harley and a fj1300r. I'm not sure but I think there were a total of 12 bikes.

Apparently it was a 'pick-up' ride, and it's destination was uncertain. One fella took his Yamaha into the grass and sand, guess he was trying out the suspension or something. Afterwards the pace slowed considerably.

I didn't have my shiny new GPS with me, as the wife n kids are out of town with it. The google map will be from memory, so it's shoddy.

Lots of tight twisties, a few decreasing radii, lots of RR crossings and lots of sweepers. Fun.

See route here:

Interesting idea.  And i'd love to contribute but, my local route only consists of a short walk into the garage where i spend my time taking pieces of my bike apart with the intention of refurbishing them only to f%$k them up good before i figure out the right way of doing it.  (The map would just have a single dot, lol)

Here's mine...the line doesn't do the ride justice, and the last 7 miles down to the lighthouse is this awesome ride...its only 45 minutes total, but I love thowing a lunch in the pack and riding down to the lighthouse, eating and hanging out for a while, and riding back...

Here's the route:

Orlando ain't got shite! I tried two old roads I used to like in my car but county decided a big straight toll road right through the middle would be better. I'm still seething about it. If anyone can post up something in this area I'd be eternally grateful!

There are no "good" roads near me.  But yesterday, (a Friday) was great!  My 11-year-old son had a special activity at a local park at 9:00, learning about aeronautics and flight dynamics and forces.  I had a meeting at 7:30.  So he rode with me to work, then to the park.  I picked him up at 2, ran a few errands and stopped at Sonic for slushes (via point E).  When we finally got home he said "This is a really GREAT day!".  He rode with me for a total of about 40 miles and we both enjoyed it!

Google sure does butcher the routes when you make a circle - I had to drag the final route quite a bit.

If you right click and keep adding destinations it is much easier to do it. then if you save it to "My Maps" and then collaborate it you get a much nicer link and it is saved for later reference. It can even be added to other peoples gps if they ever want to try it.

I was on a business trip for a week, then I've been working around the house for almost a week....  Hadn't ridden in two weeks!  So this afternoon, I says to my wife, "I'm going for a ride if you don't mind."  My son jumps up and says "I wanna come!"  So we just rode around, with no destination.  I enjoyed it, and he did too, but he didn't expect an hour-long ride.

Up an back, not so local but a weekend event. Mad twisties, switchbacks, a lot of sweepers and great scenery. 125 miles round trip w/out the occasional off route adventure. These roads are all insanely twisty all around! :woohoo:
