Thanks I knew about jt but you can't order from they're sight and I couldn't find a place that carried it in 17t but the other 2 links were very helplful. GSJack you have a preferred brand between them or are they all about the same as far as quality.

I really want one for a 2005, but I can't seem to have any luck with the search feature at sprocket specialists. Anyone have a link or a part number for a 17t for a 2005?

The 94 and later GS500/E/F use a JTF516.16 front sprocket with the shoulder which doesn't come in a 17T but the JTF512.17 with 17T should fit. It was used by another GSer.

Hello dear buddy

i am martin - aka lin and i want to run a 17 or even 18 teeth sprocket on a GS 500 ( year 2000 )
many many thanks for the posting here http://gstwins.com/gsboard index.php?topic=47925.msg566400#msg566400

Did you give it a try!? Do you use the 17 teeth or even a 18 teeth sprocket!?

look forward to a fruitful discussion

There's been a lot of discussion here on different sprockets, I have a 17 tooth and like the bike better with that. Less revs on the highway feels more relaxed, but you do have to change down to overtake more often.

hi the mole

many thanks for sharing! Great to hear from you.. Greetings
