Hey, read gs5oofever's thread on the great deal he got on a leftover '07 so I went to Suzuki's website to see what a new one costs.  Any reason the '09 costs $700 more than the '08 model?  I thought maybe it had a catalytic converter added but is says that's only on CA models.  Any thoughts??

Any chance Suzuki added a Katana rear shock, fuel injection, and a gel seat? I'd get one of those...

Everything is way up.  MSRP on my Boulevard was about 7k in 08 when I bought it.  The 09 models are 8k.
No GS yet......waiting for friend to give it back......
Currently on Suzuki Boulevard M50

the sv650 is now only $100 more than a gs500f. Why on earth wouldn't anyone spend $100 more and get fuel injection, liquid cooling, almost double the horsepower, less weight, and one of the best track bikes around?

The 09 GS500F is now $5899 on the Suzuki site but the left over 08 and 07 models are priced at $5199.  There is no naked SV650 for 09, they are offering left over 08 and 07 models for $5999 which is $800 more than the left over GSFs.

Last fall both the new 09 GS500F and Ninja 500 came out at about $5500 list price.  The GSF was increased to $5899 early this year but the Ninja 500 remains at $5499.  All new 09 Suzukis got similar increases this year.

Don't see how they can sell any new 09 GSF models as long as there are left over 08 models of the reduced price GSF and SV650 bikes available or the 09 Ninja 500 for $400 less list prices.
