Hi all-

Please PM me with offers, questions, or requests for photos.  I will try to get pictures up in the next 24 hours, but I at least wanted to get this posted asap.

I have finally run out of time and patience to make my beloved '01 road-worthy again.  After blowing the engine several years ago, I have installed a 2004 engine in the frame but just can't get the darn thing to work.  I've got another bike on the way and just don't have room for two machines in the garage.

I am looking for $850 for the bike and all spare parts.  I may be able to help with delivery within San Diego County.  This is a great deal for the right person; there is a lot of stuff included in this lot.  At this point I am not interested in parting it out.  I want it all gone asap.

Here are some details on the bike chassis:

The bike frame and body is in good condition with only 16,115 miles.
I am the original owner, having purchased it from Fun Bike Center in San Diego on 2/11/02.
Color is dark blue.
Title is clear (non-salvage) and in hand.
It is up to date on California DMV fees, so you won't get slapped with exorbitant DMV back-fees & penalties when you go to register it; it is currently registered as a "Non-Operational Vehicle."
I have all service records on hand.

Installed Upgrades:

Shortly after purchase, I installed progressive front springs and Kat 600 rear shock.
It has new-ish front and rear Metzler tires.  I found the work order listing the install date for the tires, but for some reason Fun Bike Center doesn't record mileage during service appointments, so I can't tell how many miles I put on them.
I installed a new sealed Wal-Mart battery last month with the hopes of getting it running again, so that's another new part that will be included in the sale.
It has the upgraded SV650 rear-view mirrors.
I also installed a unique dual headlight unit.  I still have the stock headlight and it will be included as well.
Airbox contains a Uni filter.
Original carbs have Factory Pro stage 1 jet kit installed.  The 2004 engine came with the newer carbs, so those will be included in the sale as well.

Other non-installed parts that will be included:
new chain and fresh can of new chain lube
new 15T front sprocket
new jug of GS-weight motor oil
anything else GS-related that I come across between now and when the new owner takes it off my hands

The Original Engine:
The original engine last ran in October of 2005.  According to San Diego House of Motorcycles:
"Valve cover leaks.  Shiftshaft seal leaks.  Neutral switch O-ring needs replaced.  Recommend valve adjust and spark plugs when valve cover comes off to replace leaking valve cover.  Oil level was low and black.  Tech noticed a slight tick in the bottom end due to the low amount of oil.  Left exhaust valve needs to be replaced- thinnest shim will not fit and gain any clearance."

This may be a good project for someone with engine experience, but I am not that person.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 muscles to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

I really need to get this machine out of here.  Make an offer!  Will consider parting out if no one wants the whole lit.

Interested in your blown engine... but cost of shipping is gonna be nuts. I'm gonna check it out anyway, and get back to you.

As I thought, cost of shipping is nuts. No longer interested in your engine. Sorry. Too far.
