have you guys seen new Yamaha FZ6R?  http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2008/09/2009-yamaha-fz6r-combines-sex.html
since I saw her in a magazine I can not stop thinking about her...
I still luv my GS and can not afford new bike at the moment, neither could handle 70-80HP, but I absolutely love this new motorcycle.

I am thinking that if economy improves, in 2-3 years I'll be in the market for one of those beautys (used one of course)
and I repeat - I won't do it because I feel like GS its too weak for me - it is absolutely not, but I just can't keep my mind of her (yellow one of course  ;))

that's it, just wanted to share  :thumb:

i went to the local yamaha dealer last week and checked it out. It is so sexy and awesome. Sitting on a R6 might just be the most uncomfortable thing ever, but the FZ6R is so comfortable and use-able I'm in love. I can't stand sitting on a bike where the seat is higher than the handle bars, ridiculous. If i were to get any 4 cylinder bike right now this would be the bike i would get.

It's a lot cheaper than the FZ6.

I don't mean 'less expensive.'

If you want a standard, there are better options - the FZ6 for light weight high-revving sporty touring, the big Bandit for sheer ludicrous torque, the FJR1300 for comfy long-distance, the F800ST for sporty BMW touring with all of the bells and whistles...

But for cheap plastic, you can't beat the FZ6R.

well, turns out it's a lot heavier than i expected, and slower than a sv650, so i take back my comment, i would rather have a sv650s

and I don't take any of my words back, at least until I sit on one  :D
the thing is: I love the sound of inline 4,
the other thing is: I love the looks the sport bikes have,
3rd thing is: I like that it only has around 70HP so this way it doesn't pop wheelies in every gear.

well, I guess that until I ride one or at least sit on one I won't change my mind  :thumb:, but that's OK - it's good to have a dream - this way work gives you more pleasure, cause you know what the hell your are making all of those money for  ;)

If you want something comparable the GSX650f is a good 4 cylinder ride to and available used now, kinda. You'll probably pay like new prices.

the thing with GSX650F is that it is NOT inline 4, it is more expensive than FZ6R, it's heavier, and it doesn't look nearly as good as FZ6R.
not that I care that much about the looks but IF I would be spending 7 grand on a motorcycle I would rather go for something that has a nice visual appearance  :thumb:

Meh. I looked one over. It seemed ok, though if i was going to buy a new bike it would be a sv650f.

I feel the same way about the R6S.  If I could afford it, I would be all over that (I know that its an even bigger step up from the GS than the FZ6R).  I prefer the older, rounder style for the R6.  in a few years, when the economy improves and I get old enough to qualify for an insurance discount, I'll have to look into one of these :icon_twisted:

Yes, it is.

Sure is.  In fact, for those who like it naked, you could pull the fairings off and have a Bandit 650...

That was the same Piece of Sheitee that one of my co workers had and he thought the frame was never going to rust cos his car frame didn't rust ... what an id10t.
Its an unqualified Piece of trash. Its steel frame with wrinkle finish, while we are at it why dont we load up our kids with lead laden painted toys from china.
Its got a steel frame, covered up by vast acres of brightly colored plastic.
Ergo, its cheap to make, and when you dump it and break the 3G's worth of plastic, you would be so shocked by how fugly it looks with all that rust you would gladly pay the 3G's to cove rit back up by buying the cheap plastic from yamaha.
Cheap to make, and makes a lot of $$$ and sells in large numbers cos we're clueless and it looks good.
Pretentious piece of trash, just like the Gladius. but hey, atleast, its not called a ... gladius

If someone wants to pay too much for a crap bike, that's his or her decision - but it should be an informed one.

personally, I think the bike looks cool save for the license plate thing.  The underbody exhaust is cool as well.

how/where would you remount the license plate and rear turn signals if you chopped that plate mount off?

I don't know, all things being equal I kinda like the blue one...though I saw one at the dealership at could spot EVERY nickel that was engineered out of it. However, the graphics on the yellow one are hideous. Tend to like the color yellow but it looks like a bunch of random star stickers were thrown on the fairing by a blindfolded chimp. Hideous.
