well its been a while and heres an update finally got the carbs fixed the throttle body was leaking along with the carb gaskets and had to replacethe butterfly valves.  new problem carbs are fine but when i was riding home from the bike shop after buying a new tire every bit of my oil sprayed out on the highway a block away from my house i parked it and wiped the oil off of it cursing the entire time this is the 6th time ive had to fix this bike since i bought it last year and its had to be to the shop 3 times. ill stop rambling and get to my question where could the oil have dumped out of and would it be a good idea to just rebuild the engine
any imput would be greatly appreciated

Was it over full? How do you check your oil?

Is the drain plug for the oil still in?  Is it a later model with the oil cooler?

Loose oil filter cover?  Missing oil plug?  Shifter seal walked out of its "well" under the left side cover?  Hole in case?

If you dumped all your oil, one of two things happened: either there was some catastrophic engine failure that sent something like a rod through the case to the outside or something holding oil in fell off. If the motor self destructed, chances are you'd know about it because there would have been awful noises and big holes in things. It is way more likely that something like the oil drain plug fell off. You should be able to find that very quickly. Just check the oil pan and if the drain plug is still there, check the filter cover. If you still can't figure out how the oil came out, just get some oil and pour it in. It will probably start running out of the same place it did when you were riding it.

As for rebuilding the engine, I'd not attempt it unless I really had to. Figure out where your oil went, fix the problem and see what happens. Hopefully you shut the bike down as soon as you noticed the oil was gone, and if you're lucky, you didn't do too much damage to it. If you did damage it, the damage is done, and refilling it with oil and riding it around won't do any additional damage. If I were you, I'd just fill it up and ride it and only consider a rebuild if something was obviously terribly wrong...

Dont forget the seal on the output shaft behind the engine sprocket.

So your saying there are no HUGE holes or cracks in the case and NO oil what-so-ever anywhere on the bike?  Usually an oil leak is pretty straightforward to diagnose, and I would assume that if it was bad enough to lose all the oil in the bike then it should be screaming at you "HERE IS THE LEAK" lol

The fastest way to lose your oil ... even faster than the drain plug ... output shaft got nothign on this ... the chrome bolt under the round ignition advancer cover. Lose it and you lose pressure and in ~4 seconds at 5K when warmed up ... all the volume ... and get this, at that speed, most of the oil will be splattered into the car to your right ... minimal oil to you ... rest into that poor suckers car.
Cool.
