I want to do it in the morning.
Is there a walk-thru for rear caliper rebuilding?...have searched and cant find anything...

Someone please link or explain...thank you!
I think the piston is not moving back....when I freely rotate my rear wheel up on the stands, there is a lot of resistance.....want to take apart caliper, clean it, rebuild, replace fluid

I just "rebuilt" both of mine, get brake parts cleaner ,tooth brush ,emery cloth or very fine sand paper , new brake fluid and new seals .

Get the caliper off of the torque arm and disc ,take out pads ,pump rear brake to push both pistons out evenly , if one gets ahead of

the other push on that one with screw driver and pump to get them even but not completely out , the point is to

push pistons almost out with hydraulic pressure cause it's almost impossible to get them out latter if you don't have air compressor.

Now get the banjo bolt out, catch any brake fluid ,separate the caliper by removing two joining bolts, wobble out the pistons

get dust and piston seals out with smallest screw driver tip without scratching surface of caliper, spray with brake parts cleaner and

use tooth brush to rub out the grit gently first ( you don't want to scratch anything with the grit itself ) wash the grit out and repeat

with cleaner and brush ,clean the seal's grooves ,dry calipers, reinstall piston and dust seals by lightly oiling them with brake fluid,

piston seals tend to kink sometimes on reinstall, if so try to push them in gently never with force or get them out and try again.

Clean piston itself with cleaner soaked emery cloth or very fine sand paper ( gently ! you don't want scratches there ) ,dry pistons,

oil with brake fluid and reinstall, push them in all the way evenly, replace old caliper body seal and join the body and you're done basically

Another bike and he used air pressure to get pistons out , see if it helps:

Heed his tip about undoing the joining bolts of caliper body a little before removing it from the disc

( exhaust might need to come out though, maybe ) latter it's hard to get them out when it's in your hand ,I didn't and it was a little tough
