Hm, idk it does seem a bit pricey.  My 1997 with 6k miles was only $1,500.  $200/year, I'm not so sure.

Honestly I have done every repair/ maintanance item that could be thought of on the bike.  I've had the Carbs cleaned and rebuilt, ingition switch fixed (broken when I bought the bike), oil and filter change, valve clearance checked, New fuel cocks on frame and tank, new fuel lines, all bulbs replaced, new battery, new tires and after all that was done I had the Suzuki Tech go back over the bike to insure there was nothing else that needed done to it.  All in all I have put 1,000 into the bike in the last two months to make sure it was ready to get sold.  While adding icing to the cake the GS has a clean title history (proven by Autocheck with a buy back guarentee) which seems to be hard to find in this area.

Sometimes, you get a big amount. Sometime's you don't. I was told once forget about getting anything extra for what 'you' put into it. Even though it is customized 90% it is not what the customer wanted so it is considered useless!

well I'd hope that the customer would want a fully maintained bike otherwise they really shouldn't be looking for one that runs.

very true rambo, very true. are you willing to be flexible on price? or is it set in stone. ( im not in position to buy, my riding days may be over tbh, BUT jus some friendly help tho to a fellow gs'er)

we have actually decided to be flexible down to 2,000 but I've only had one person look at my GS and the guy was honestly way too big for the GS.  I would like to see the GS go to someone who would take good care of it like me.  In fact if i dont have to work on the Carb I would do work on it for them.  We haev a friend of a friend who wants a bike and everyone who has ridden on the GS thinks it's a perfect bike for her.  Just have to wait till she has time to see it and ride on it herself. 

While looking on Cycletrader at all of the GSs listed within 100 miles I'm horrified that mine is 1 of 2 that do not have a salvage title.  For my GS I can prove that it has a clear title history as well as having the Title in hand.
