I am about to purchase a scorpion exo-700 from new enough for 141 as soon as i get my gift certificate rebate, and was thinking about ordering a tinted shield for day time use.  I really like the way the mirrored shields look, but are they worth it since they scratch?  Is the tinting in them as good as say a smoked lense.  I want either a blue or silver tinted, but i dont want to have to replace it all the time from scratches, especially since they are a little more expensive to get when you go fog free.

Does anyone have any experience with the HJC windlight for the helmets, they have those on sale for 4 bucks and i figure whats 4 bucks, lol.  Might also get Rapid Transit Abrams bag since they have those for 17, which is a steal since the local store carries them for close to 60.

on the tinted sheilds i run one on my exo700 and my wife has one on her exo 400 and unless your very careless or just plan niglectful with your helmet and sheild it will be fine.  I figure if your goin to pay 140 bucks for a helmet you might take care of it but you never know.  mine was 180 bucks with my discount and i for the chrome sheild for it the same day.  At 180 + the 45 for the sheild that i paid i treat both like my bike.  I clean it when it gets dirty and dont put it or hang in anywhere that it can get scratched or dropped.  if you hang it off your bar end or sit it on your tank and dont watch it youll prolly be getting a new helmet from the fall.  From the tank or bar isnt that far but any drop of a helmet you should have the helmet checked or replaced even if it doesnt look that bad.  So moral of the story i guess would be its your cash so if you have it to waste your stuff will get scratched if you take care of it it will last. :thumb:
