Oil leak?? Where is is coming from??

Hey i got this oil leak that is getting progressively worse.  I posted this on here before and the only answer i got was that it was chain oil, it is not oil from the chain.  It appears to be coming from the case cover on the shifter  (left) side where the cover goes on behind the shifter, so i guess my question is , Is there oil behind the cover and has anyone seen this before??  Does anyone know what gasket is causes this. Thanks ahead of time from any help.  if the pic doesn't work i put a link at the bottom.

shift push rod seal leaking?
there is no oil behind the sprocket cover if thats the cover your talking about its only a cover for the front sprocket and push rod that goes into the motor/tranny to disengage your clutch well pulling the clutch lever.

Take the sprocket cover off. Clean up the gunk. Look for a leak. They don't all leak from the same place, so look and see where yours leaks from.

well, after cleaning it up it appears the the oil is coming from the magneto cover gasket.  #15 on the schematic.  Is this a easy fix or is there something that i am not seeing?

Easy enough. Cleaning old gasket off can be tedious. Don't use aggressive tools and scratch the mating surfaces. Don't overtorque the cheese-whiz bolts - both becasue Suzuki bolts like to break, and because it will seal with moderate pressure, and start leaking if you wind things up and start warping the case.

Drain the oil before you start. Put down a good bit of newspapaer and cardboard, because you'll still be dripping. If you look for stator cover (yes, we often don't use the official teminology - sometimes it's referred to as the alternator, too. All more or less apply) and the dread goat's syndrome (cracked rotor magnets) you'll find a lot of old posts about just this area (though goat's has nothing to do with the gasket leaking.) Starwalt's (starter clutch not releasing) is another exciting thing that happens under that cover sometimes. But likely all you have is a bad gasket.

I've done mine twice in the last year. First when the gasket was leaking, then again this year when the stator died. The first time I spent about 4 hours on scraping the old gasket material off. I picked up a tool made for the job at Murray's and it makes a big difference. I had much better control than trying to use razor blades or some other kind of tool for scraping the old material off. I also used some chemical help to soften the gasket material. Tried some spray made for gasket removal at first, then went to a cheap, methylene chloride based carb cleaner after reading the ingrediants. If you use a methylene chloride based spray, be sure to use it in a well ventilated area.
