OK can anyone guess why this is happening, and no I dont know the answer, I may tommorow night when I get back to working on it.

On this maxim X I had literally parked for 2 years, but I drained all the gas before I did that, I got it running on the fresh gas and new battery. So the tank has new gas, the tank is coated inside and its all in good shape.

Its original problem was that it was overheating and boiling over in traffic due to the absence of a working fan for the radiator.

I get it running and in fact it stared 5-6 times after stalling and what not. Then I ride to gas station (2 miles), air up the tars. Then I take off on it, run to the highway, and ~10 miles in I decide to get gas. That stop I decide to mess with the idle, that turns into idling too low, and I decide I better get back home. I ride it home, get in my driveway and I turn it off to adjust the idle. Then it starts up again, only to stall as I am trying to back out of my driveway. After that, it does not start. I pull and clean the plugs and they were filthy on the outside ... full of muck, I spray clean the plug holes, the plug caps, and plugs themselves. Still nothing. It in fact looks like its not even sparking.

I drain the crabs, and fuel comes out of all of em.

So any one have any ideas, it ran albeit with trouble ... then refused to start back, hot or cold.

>Checked all the electronics since the death?
>On the overheating did you cure that? - I had one that airlocked on me. The fan went out, then the radiator busted, replaced them both filled it back up and there was some trapped air in the system that made the pump fail to circulate and got hot and warped the heads.. Got tired of the probs and sold.
>Any chewed up wires after 2 years? Shorts?
>Did you break down the carbs to see if there was any varnish left from the gas a chunk may have broken loose and plugged a jet.
>Safety switches rusted shut or corroded over the contacts, try disconnecting them or jumping them over. Also check for kill switch functioning.

Thats about all I can come up with on short notice But I'll keep thinking.
Current project:
Mmotos full body kit (YOU DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... READ MY THREAD BOOT STATE UPDATE)
K&N Lunchbox
Buddah's jets
CBR F2 rearsets
Ducati pass pegs (Modified)
Kat rear wheel
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Can, possibly shortened and relocated
And so on......

All great ideas ... to that I'd add change spark plugs. I plan on running the manual fan switch to the kill switch on the bar. That way it will run the fan when you flip it and you ride the bike in the off position.
I doubt the carbs are clogged, they drained nice and clean. Except for #3, its stuck. It drained just fine, then got stuck 1/2 way.
But if I have to pop em off, I clean em just to be sure ...
BTW yamaha if it has a bad fuse it will sping the starter but not put in spark and it will crank and crank and crank and never start.
