Been ridding illegally for years 10+, made a few cross country trips, have gotten a few ticks for no DL. About to take written test and then onto the driving test on the weekend. Wish me luck in a hour!

Haha 10+?  Not bad, but an older guy in my MSF course had been illegal for 35.

Me too.........

Sort of.  In PA I would just get a learners permit every year.
In Vermont, ppl do whatever they want, they only need a gun  :icon_lol:
But, here in FL, there are no learners permits. Im riding now, but
I am going to go legal as soon as I get a chance  :dunno_white:

I'm happy s/he's fixing this problem (assuming s/he's not just a troll trying to rile us law-abiding citizens up ;) )..I wish everyone would!  :thumb:

I didn't see a need to apologize. You're right. Some people take the safety courses, get their license, practice, start on a "beginner" motorcycle, wear all the gear, etc. Those riders get humped by the people who don't.

Yap....I'm just as frustrated by those who drive/ride illegally. It REALLY sticks in my craw that by law, we all have to have insurance, but *I* have to carry uninsured/underinsured motorists, because only about 1/2 the population has insurance....gRRRr.....

BUT..I'm still happy to hear that someone's taking the proper actions to correct their "illegalness!"  ;)

Ok guys passed with flying colors!!!!!!!...........i know some of you may be po'ed at the non law following citizens but i grew up in the country and i know this is no excuse, but in those years i have been threw alot lot and have over come some major set backs and have been living in the woods a few of those years, now i have a family a house and a bunch of toys. Just trying to get straight on everything for my next cross country trip. I knda did the bike ridding thing backwards.....the gs500 is the smallest non-dirt bike i have owned. My first ride was a 77 ironhead harley with 8 over forks, bored out with some head work and only a rear drum brake. (still have it) My Dad was a influence on this (SFS). Lots of close calls and 3 wrecks plus 3 no motorcycle DL ticks..........so im doing it right finally. (wife has talked me into it) Thanks for the support with the site i visit it daily and have gotten losts of great help. going to be shooting from iowa to SD to Wyoming maybe then to CA in the next month so let me know if your in those any of those areas!!!

Jughead

You had no license at all, or no bike license?  In some places, driving without a license means an automatic license suspension... that doesn't start until you GET your license.  Just wondering.

Birdman you don't wanna mess with Florida and the license bit! I.E it is a $1400 ticket if you have you tag in the wrong place. From my understanding driving without a M endorsement is a 2nd degree misdemenor and can result in 60 days in jail and or up to $500 fine.

To get the M endorsement though it is now required to take a MSF course.
