I'm looking out the window and again it's snowing on a day when earlier weather reports said 36 degrees. The roads were clear and i was gonna go for a short ride anyway. I keep having the same dream about sunshine and the sound of lawnmowers and smelling grass and sitting on a motorcycle toolong around.  Riding season is only a little ways away.......

Put the bike in the garage and get to work :) that's my task for today...
If this weather keeps up, I'll probably be able to field strip and reassemble the bike blindfolded!    Well maybe not cause I'm not very experienced at working on the bike

mine's been sitting down there for a month.  I just feel too depressed to acutally go down and start stripping it down.  I know once I start it'll be in pieces in no time.  it's just the first step.. . plus we're trying to save for a new house and my wife is keeping a tab on my bike spending.. :dunno:  sigh.

Their is no use in gloating about the warm weather down here. What advantage we have in mild temps we make up with rainy days.

I heard somewhere Mobile is one of the rainiest citys in the U.S.

Note the rain pouring off the roof. Leaves plenty of time for the GS to sit and rust. :(

Oh, the humanity!!!

I was at the breakers to pick up an exhaust last summer.  I needed help to tip-over the GS frame, since it had sunk into the mud/dirt.  The bottom frame rails were gone, buried an inch in the mud.

Anyways, we got it pushed over, and the exhaust looked OK, so we pulled it.  After a few hours of sanding with a wire brush, it looked great.  I'm impressed, 'cuz at the breakers, it looked like that junked bike had become a part of the firmament.

I guess so, but sheesh!!!  You'll never see MY GS covered in snow like that  :nono:

anyway... I'm routing for an early spring, 'cause I've found lately that I'm compensating for lack of riding by buying a crapload of gear that I can't really afford.  If could just get out and ride.... aaaaargh.
