It is hitting thw 100 actual mark today in O-town. I don't even want to see what the heat index actually is All of the wild flowers have wilted and ran away! Now if you want people's grown up lawns because it seems like the grass grows six inches a week I can do that

Someone turn on the AC! And Dammit it sure as hell isn't a dry heat here!

My sister in law told me it was 110 heat index back home in Pensacola today. It's about 96 here in South Cackalaki, still too hot for me. Although I try not to complain, I have to reflect back on my days in Iraq and tell myself it could always be worse.

Still a couple a days up the sleeve on this one. Still waiting for it to stop raining - all day where I am 

Well, the weather radar said the day was fine - so did the forecast. But on the way to work it was raining - grrr.

The day cleared nicely and it gave me the chance to get these on the way home...



The road in the background is a Major highway leading out of the city - too dangerous to stop on the side of the road, so took an exit and snapped back.

Let me know if this overgrown mess of weeds, grass, noxious weeds and other assorted flora is acceptable as Challenge Complete

The challenge didn't say GS it said "your bike". A GS is coming in a few weeks, in the meantime if the challenge says "your bike" then that makes it open.

Flowers... if you read back through the challenger said he was inspired by the story of local authorities not cutting the roadside flora. My pic is of the uncut roadside flora. As it's winter down here in Australia and we've just had some nasty frost last week there aint no abundance of flowers but it is certainly wild roadside stuff that has not been cut - and if you look carefully you can see some small yellow flowers.

It's up to the challenger to decide if it counts or not as we near the one week deadline.

We also ruled back on like page 452 of this thread that we were going to generally open this to all bikes, and not just the GS.

Honestly, we could use the help of all bikes because it seems no one can get these as is! I mean it is taking what seems to be an average of two weeks to get one done!

It seems like the majority of us agree that the last picture is acceptable.

Next Challenge: A picture of your bike next to a mail/post box - the kind the post office has for people to mail their letters - not the one the mailman puts your mail into - either at the post office itself or one of those random ones they have around the suburbs

Sorry I missed the thread updates, but, yes, this is perfectly fine.  The important thing in this challenge is that the effort was there.  Not nearly the motivational challenge I was hoping, but I'm glad you went for it.  Now, I'd be right around the corner if it weren't raining ALL THE TIME.  Hopefully tomorrow 

Every time I open my mouth and say "this one is easy" it starts pouring rain and I can't take the bike to work lol, maybe in the morning.
