I'm nicknaming you Giggles.

BTW,
You can patch up to 4 cm with super-glue as long as it isn't deeper than adipose tissue, after using tincture of iodine or your bottle of Chanel #5.

OTC superglue is just another variant of cyanoacrylate that's in DermaBond, and it's bacteriostatic.  DermaBond's just more flexible and easier on the nose.  $20, however, versus $1.50.
Get the kind that turns white when you spit on it: it'll harden despite the presence of blood.  Just make sure it's capillary bleeding.

And, next time you wreck your back, see a D.O. instead.  They're practiced in spinal manipulation, unlike M.D.'s, and are "whole patient" oriented.

yamahonkawazuki

K now how do i know if its cap. bleeding? and the glue. fill scab thing across liek id be spackling a slight detn in drywall?
and sorry my mind is a bit fuzzy atm . a D.O is what? if i may ask?

Alright rephrase/clarification time lol sorry. "  it'll harden despite the presence of blood.  Just make sure it's capillary bleeding.  " thats what i was referring to. and the glue. how would i apply this. if it will work, how do i apply it to wound?, any brand preferences or? ahhh found answers on the DO doc

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-do-doctor-of-osteopathic-medicine.htm may have to look into this

Didnt know if you were stoned or trying to get attention, in which case- i wouldn't like you.

capillary bleeding = bright and oozing, easily stopped/clotted.  Weren't you in the boy scouts?  (Okay, me neither - they're homos supremus.)

No brand preference, just the cheap stuff.  Gorilla glue doesn't work very well.
And, yes, like spackling except thinner.  Like astroglide.  Only enough to make it shiny.

wladziu

Just make sure you don't slather it over muscle, tendons, nerve, or nonscapillary blood vessels.  Only skin and fat.
It'll leave a scar, and any hair that is stuck in from the outside will prmote infection.  So, don't use it on your (imaginary) girlfriend.

chiropractition originally budded from osteopathic medicine, except an actual D.O. can write prescriptions for your yeast infection also.

Drink lots of cherry juice- it'll help with the arthritis you're gonna have in your back from now on.  &nd take the entire 10 days of your antibioitics.  Some of your moodiness could be related to infection.

Dontcha know Wlad not everyone is as uber smart as you! :icon_razz:  Anyhooo! I haven't looked at wounds recently but does the wound have flaps that he can glue shut?

Yup just as you said cap bleeding is bright oozing red. If it is really dark or spurting that's bad uhhhmkay! BTW isn't astroglide lubrication for uhm okay you know! If it is slippery stuff is really good too!

I had a DO once she was one of my favorite docs but all of a sudden got Bells Palsy. She struggled with it for about a year it is really hard to be a doc when you can't talk. She suffered graciously and was one of the most compassionate people I had ever met. I heard the other day she died about a year ago apparently the paralysis spread throughout the body and she chose not to be on a ventilator to live. Was really saddned about her death. Wonder what she actually had to make her body shut down like that over a period of three years. Don't think it was Guillian Barre syndrom and too fast for Parkinsons  :dunno_white:

BTW one of my favorite quick look up companions for medical remedies was ST 31-91B the US army special forces medical handbook. Learned alot of cool stuff in there LOL!

In a perfect world.  But, you can cover, too.
They sell it at the drug store.  Not sure if it's DermaBond or what.  The really good stuff has a rollerball tip and a capsule inside that you have to crush first.  But, it's about $20 a vial, one use only.  The drug store stuff... don't know much about it.  It's probably more flexible than the cheap junk, and better application method.

Besides, you know how folks are always afraid to clean out avulsions.  Then it needs to be opened back up, excised, ligated, closed again, and given a course of antibiotics.
But, if you can't ID tissue types, and have enough dermis to pinch together (and seriously can't afford a professional) - sure.

Lavaged, not ligated.

$350 for the new SF manual.  I'd beg you for your old one, but it's a fossil by now.  Jealous, though.  If you do happen to have an empty box laying around... and a few bucks for shipping....

Working on the back-patch design, still.  Not so good at logos.  Right now, it's just a sprocket with block lettering above it in a semi-circle.
Wanna help?  No bones or crossed wrenches.
