 I like them.  Way more agressive riding position, bike looks meaner.  And, my super long monkey arms appreciate the much more comfortables position.  Got these bars shipped off eBay for $27, and I had them in less than 3 days.  The install of these is pretty simple and straightforward.  Brake banjo contacts the top plate where it sits, but is in a comfortable position.  Bars hit the tank about 1/8" before full lock.  No big deal, I will remedy that this weekend by putting a small spot weld on either side of the steel "fork stop piece" this weekend.  Pretty much the same result as clipons for the poor man.  I'm definitely satisfied.  May not be a great mod for short dudes and girls, because you would be more less "forced" to hunch forward a bit when riding.  I have ordered some carbon fiber bar ends which should be here any day, but the vibes are hardly noiceable to me even without any bar ends.  I installed some gel progrips while I was at it.  I couldn't be happier considering that I spent very little money. :icon_mrgreen:

Do not weld up to your fork stop.
I once upon a time came up with a solution and I put some pics up but its hence been lost in the shuffle. The bike I was dealing with had a sheared off stop and so I devised thiis.
Get a chunk of car/truck/trailer tire. OK get 2.
There is a point where the lower triple comes very close to the frame. Mark that spot, or on the fork/lower triple at the right spot, zip tie the chunk of car tire.
It will perfectly soft stop the forks and it will work well. In case you were to go to a different bar maybe lets say ... a buddha 4 weld ... just for argument sake - you can cut the zip ties and no one will know.
Cool.

Very true.  I thought of that as well.  I figured it would be no big deal to take my long carbide bud bit on my die grinder and grind the spot weld off in about 30 seconds if need be.  But, I may try your method first since it would work just fine.

Interesting warning sticker you've got on your tank, there.  :)

Hey the bars look good! I like mine a lot. Mine don't hit the tank though, theres about a 1/4" space at full lock before contact. I don't know if the previous owner had to modify anything for that to happen though.

Yours probably have a slightly different bend to them.  No worries, it's an ez fix and my bars still lock and everything....
