I think I'm pretty lucky... been wanting to build a track bike and found a 2000 GSXR 600 on CL..... it's a theft-recovery, no-title bike with 9k miles for $1800, steering damper, Penske shock, Carbon yoshi full exhaust, and I'm told "Dynojet Stage 2'd"... also including gsxr 750 USD forks and an extra '97 gsxr 600 title, frame, and tank.  A bit of a franken-bike... with fairings from an SRAD 750....

So what do Track Riders do with these bikes?  Remove the airbox, add a K&N, larger rear sprocket?

Aside from swapping in the USD forks eventually, what would be feasible projects for this bike?... I guess I could just RIDE the dam thing first.... ha....

I've done 2 track days on my GS500 and had fun in the corners, but tired of getting lapped on straights....

Damn, sounds like an awesome deal. Those SRAD gsxrs are my all time favorite sportbikes. Lately I think they've been surpassed by a cbr900rr, but if I was actually on a track I'd probably stick with a 600. I'd love to do some track riding, but they don't have many tracks around here that I know about, I know absolutely nothing about getting into track riding, I don't own any leather suits, and I'd fully get in the way of people who actually knew what they were doing.

That doesn't answer your question at all, but you should still post some pictures. .....and yes, just ride the thing first, then worry about what else you want to change.
