Hi.

Yesterday I went for a trip to Viaducte Millau (200miles away from home). It is in the south of France. Total trip from home was about 400miles.

Viaducte Millau is a piece of engineering by Norman Foster. The track is 250m (830ft) high from the floor. Driving there is irreal since there is no near landscape. You wonder if you are driving or flying.

Some photos:

Photo1: From the rest area.

Photo2: Rest area too.

PHOTO 3:  From the village of Millau

PHOTO4: The valley that the bridge jumps.

where did you go? I stayed in Nice for the Monaco GP this year. Awesome trip and it was so cool to walk to track next to the harbor.

while those are awesome pics and a pretty cool bridge, I have to wonder why spend all that money when they could've built the road to go up and down those hills.

Bloody hell, THAT's a bridge.

I can confirm there are very nice sceneries and roads in southern France, I've been there three weeks (work trip) last June - Saint-Etienne, near Lyon, via the Fréjus Tunnel. Well-kept roads, people sticking to speed limits, excellent weather. :thumb: Oh boy, did I miss my bike... :)

what was your favorite part of the trip ?

My favourite part?

Driving on the bridge, of course.

But I had a big time near Lodeve: the landscape is very nice and the highway has some curves.

I also had a big time in Montaignac: these people know how to make meals: "Jambon au crême Moutarde" at Bar "Le Progres". The desert was a "Gauffre au nougat chocolat".  :icon_mrgreen:

I got lost between Pézenas and Beziers. It happpens to me sometimes.

I had a pleasant trip. Nothing bad happened besides of about 1/2 litre of oil consumption.
