Just had to get this out.. really pissing me off.. It keeps popping up in my head.. thought i would rant here to help me just forget about it.

So i am riding to work yesterday.. we have an HOV lane here for motorcycle and cars with 2+ more people.  I  am riding along and as i am passing a car  he swerves toward me.. i dont freak.. i just slow down until he notices what he is doing and he goes back to his lane..

Most of the time this happnens.. its just a mistake.. they didnt see me.. so i ride up again next to him and just look at him..  he cant see my face as i have one of those face shields that like a mirror.. but he can see that my head is turned looking at him.  at this point.. he looks at me and swerves toward me again..   i was like wtf...  and slow down again..  he goes back to his lane again..  at this point i am getting pissed.. i say to myself calm down and just go fast to pass the car..  well i go in again and i couldnt help it but i look at him again.. this time.. he smirks.. and proceeds to swerve toward me again..

I was done.. i backed off.. memorize the license plate pulled over to the side  and jotted it down on my iphone.

I cant believe  this kid thought it was funny to do that..  it just focking irked me.  I wish i could do something  with the license plate..but more likely nothing can be done.

When he first pulled out on you, you should have just let it go. He moved over when he saw you so as you say its probably just a lack of awareness on his behalf and a genuine mistake. The second incident is different and I cant be sympathetic. By drawing alongside and staring at him you provoked and threatened him and as a result he reacted.
Lots of knobheads on the roads, including some bikers. When you see one the safest thing to do is keep well away from them and not get drawn into any road-rage episodes.

I agree. Frustrating and irritating as it may be, you've just gotta let some things go. If someone is inattentive to your presence, get clear of the threat, check your emotions, and stay safe! You're not going to win any battles against the 4-wheelers.

Cafeboy, if you and I are ever confronted together by a charging elephant or car with a pissed off driver (like my ex) then you shoot all you want. That will buy me time to run further... :icon_lol:

Go Rambo on a public freeway and see who gets thrown in jail, dude.  I wouldn't recommend it.  I've tried shooting photos while moving and nearly killed myself and that was legal...

I had a guy come over in to my lane today, I was right next to him and all I could do was brake and swerve over the double yellow. Luckily no cars were coming. He was in a big Dodge pickup, so I just crossed back over right in front of him and took off. Better not to piss people like that off...

seeing red is bad. i'd assume everyone riding a motorcycle has done it at one point or another. must take a goood deal of training to overcome it.

most times i can overcome it, but occasionally, i take a mirror off. makes me feel better for a moment, then very dumb later. :)

Last guy to cut me off was in stop/start traffic. We were going slow as. He jumped from his lane into mine in an almost gap. I propped. He waved. I rode up next to him - he could go no further forward, as I said it was stop start - and he apologized to me! I nodded to him and rode into my turning lane and was off.

But depending on the idiot in the cage I'll either zip around them and be gone - or - just slow down and sit in the slow lane for a bit to give them distance. But I hardly ever get cut off because I make sure I am in positions where this doesn't happen - even if it means I need to slow down so if the car to the side swerves into my lane I'm still all good. The trick is to never be in a rush and just enjoy the ride - whether tucked behind cars in the slow lane or not.

Guy at work, however, is different. He's in a rush everywhere even if he has plenty of time. And he has been known to kick in a door panel or two before zipping off through the traffic. And I have heard of others getting off their bike and snipping the valve stems on Two tires with a pair of side cutters - leaving the cage with two flats!

Well, I'm seeing red right now. Just five minutes ago I got home from work. There is alot of road construction here which is dangerous to begin with two accidents just on the 16 mile ride home. Well, because of the construction the turn lane into my complex is gone! I'm waiting in the lane to turn in a dude in an Escalade whips around me and hits me in the back of the helmet with his hand! I really am pissed about it but as I'm sitting down thinking about it I bet the dude probably hurt the hell out of his hand hitting my Shoei! But, it was totally uncalled for and snapped my neck forward pretty hard.

WTF is wrong with people!?!?!?!?

I'm approaching a set of lights in the turn lane - to turn across the oncoming traffic. A car coming the other way, as he passes me the driver's dangling arm arcs up and a glass bottle (beer bottle?) comes at me. Smashes on my mirror and a piece hits the top of my helmet and bounces off. I'm sure his buddies thought it was the funniest thing. What if my visor was up and the bottle had hit inside?   :2guns:

WTF is wrong with people indeed?!
