just shipped my carbs off to the Buddha for a go thru, and whilst they's be off am wanting to replace the fuel lines. have checked the fiche on several sites, but nothing mentions the actual size of lines. does anyone right off hand know what sizes, in fractions i.e. 1/4" etc, the lines are?
would just as soon buy some quality bulk line from say Dennis Kirk as to pay the $ for pre-cut from suppliers.

I just replaced mine with 1/4. They fit on fine and haven't been leaking, did have to warm up some of the tips to get them to fit though. Better idea is buying the right size from Buddha though.

5/16 polyurethane from CRC Pt. 2 - 80 cents a foot (last year, anyway), 5 feet does nicely, 2 feet of 1/8 is handy for the carb drains. Best deal on the stuff I could find last year.

I believe the standard lines are 7mm, which is right between 1/4 and 5/16. So, a little tight or a little loose, your choice!

The vacuum hose from the carb to the petcock is smaller than 1/4, but that's just an air hose, so I just reused mine. I don't think 5 feet will cover the fuel tank drain hose, or it might, since I had a little left over from my 5 foot, I just didn't compaire it since the drain hose probably doesn't need replaced either

DoD#i

I ordered both sizes - I'll use the 1/4 on a lawnmower or two. At least for that stock, 5/16 is not loose (no clamps on it and it's staying put quite well), and 1/4 is far too tight.

5 feet does not include the overflow - it does allow redoing the carb vent from the upper Tee, and it's not doing the vacuum line, just the fuel lines and that vent. For the amount of fuel it sees, the tank overflow I'm happy putting hardware store vinyl (PVC) hose on.
