sergeremi do you have any money or do you just go around making offers? Not cool. Don't even ask if you can't deliver. This site doesn't work that way!

krypto35

ha, what's that accusation all about?

Huh? I'm not spamming people or anything.

Like I said in my introduction post in the "Who are you and where are you from post", I'm wanting to get into riding and I'm looking for my first bike.  I'm not going around just throwing offers... in fact, I haven't even made any offers yet! I'm just asking for more information on the bikes that are still for sale here.  I figure the guys on the board might have better offers and might be better to deal with than if I had to wade through ebay or craigslist on my own.

I do intend to purchase if a bike comes along that fits my budget and needs.

dude, when you ask people if they're willing to ship a bike from PA to FLA..... especially a 'dime a dozen' bike like the GS.... you're sending a very bad impression.... like a spammer.....  No I will not ship it.

I asked if shipping arrangements would be out of the question, I didn't ask that you pay to ship it to me.

I would have arranged and paid for shipping, but I couldn't even get that far in discussions because i guess it was automatically assumed I'm some sort of spammer or cheat or something.

Look, I don't want to get off on the wrong foot here, I was just asking people that were selling their bikes for information about them and possibly arrange a sale.  There aren't that many for sale in my immediate area (at this time anyway) and I thought I'd try looking here where people are more knowledgeable about the bike.

How can I be the one sending a bad impression when I'm the one being accused of being a spammer right off the bat?

krypto35

because almost NO ONE ships a bike.... especially not a <$2000 one.... shipping would be $700....... shipping vehicles is not normal unless they're collector cars, or dealer requests.

Look now I feel bad.  :embarassed: I was just meaning if you put offers in all over people don't take you serious is all. Ask questions all you want but be up front with them. Me personally? I am very careful asking questions for a couple of reasons:

1. It gets a sellers hopes up that you are interested.

2. If I don't have the money in hand I don't ask

3. People that do want to purchase things get the speculation from seller that this guy is just wasting my time.

So enough said and if I could help you find a bike and I am sure Krypto and anyone on this site would bend over backwards to help you find what you want and can afford, deal?

sergeremi

I appreciate the help.

Perhaps I was too exuberant in my search when I first got registered.  I am interested and I do have money in hand.  But I guess I should look closer to me and find something I can at least drive to and pick up myself.

So, sounds like a deal to me.  :thumb:
