Icon Barrier Gloves (Barrier???)

I have owned a pair of Icon's SuperDuty gloves for a couple of months now, and I've been very happy with them.  So when I decided I needed a pair of late winter gloves, I decided to give Icon's new "Barrier" a try.  What I forgot was that Icon is a southern California company.  The Barrier glove is supposed to be a "cool weather" glove.  Apparently in California anything under 80 is considered cool weather.  The barrier will make an excellent summer sport ridding glove.  But to call it a "cool weather" glove, is a flat out lie.

So if any of you riders out there living in climates with actually winters are looking for a good winter glove, I might suggest Icon's "Patrol" glove which is advertised as a "cold weather" glove.  It's what I should have bought.

By the way, has anyone tired the alpinestars SP-W glove?
Anyone know of any good, leather sportriding gloves that actually keep your hands warm in cold weather?

It's true. A cool weather glove in SoCal is a 60-70 degree glove that keeps the chill off. Midweight at best. I really have my eyes on the Patrol for the rest of my winter.
