I'm looking to sell my 98 Suzuki GS 500E. I am the 3rd owner and have owned the bike for two years. It has 22,4XX miles right now but that will likely change as I will be riding it regularly. The bike runs great with no issues what so ever. There are a few upgrades that have been done to it. The original owner added a Vance & Hines exhaust along with K&N filter, the bike was properly jetted. He also installed a braided stainless front brake line. I installed Racetech springs in the front fork along with heavier weight oil, the rear shock has been replaced with a '98 Katana 600 shock. The front sprocket is  -1 and the bike currently has a set of EBC HH pads on it.

As far as maintenance that has been performed since I've owned the bike... The chain and sprockets, brakes, front fork work and rear shock where done at the beginning of last season (Spring 08). The valves where adjusted end of last season (Summer/Fall 08). The bike had a new set of tires installed at the end of last season as well. I have a set of front and rear EBC HH pads new and unopened that will go with the bike.

Cosmetically the bike is in good shape for being 11 years old. The original owner tipped the bike over at a stand still on two different occasions as there is slight rash on the engine casing on each side. I installed a short dark smoke colored fly screen over the headlight. I had the the Vance & Hines exhaust media blasted and I repainted it with high temp paint since the exhaust had a bit of surface rust, it looks great now. The paint on the tank, tail and fender is in good shape. The bike is orange and black. I will try and post some pictures in a day or two, or pm me if you are looking for specific shots of something.

I am asking $2,000 OBO. Thanks for looking.

The weather is supposed to be nicer here today. Hopefully I can snap some pictures and get them posted later tonight.

Since I keep missing the boat on nice weather to take some pictures here are a couple taken last year just before heading out for a road trip to the MotoGP race at Indy. Unfortunately I've got my Nelson Rigg bags on so you can't see the whole bike but you get the idea. She looks the same then as she does now. If someone is interested in the bags feel free to make an offer since I won't have a use for them once the bike is gone.

Very nice looking clean bike with that many miles on it. One of the cleanest with that many I have seen. I am not in the market I was just wondering if you have had any offers as of yet?

trickniner

I have had one offer ad a few calls. The offer was a little on the low side though.

Thanks for the compliments.

Anybody interested? Am I asking too much?

Probably ... but I'd do this in your shoes ...
Set a bottom $, set a sell by date. Set a nice to have starting price ... divide the difference in prices by the number of weeks to the sell by date.
Each week drop it by that amount. Leave 10% breathing room ...
Advertise well locally ... craigs list, other bike ad places and gstwin ... and watch it uun fold.
Cool.

I might have to try something like that out. I am not expecting to get 2,000. I just wanted to ask a bit higher at first thinking the low offers would come in a little closer to what am hoping to get. I did have one offer that, if it had been on the market for a few more months I would have taken. I was just hoping I might get a bit more. I'll give it some time. Thanks for the tip.
